NEW LINES
Your Creative Dharma
WEEK 2

NEW LINES
First, we’ll craft some powerful new lines to begin priming your mind for the beliefs you need in place to allow your next level – these will be designed by you for exactly where you are in the process.
Then, like actors or children, we can pretend and imagine what it will be like, how we will think and feel and act when we are living the next level we’re pursuing.
And this isn’t merely for the fun of it, this is a powerful form of visualisation, imagineering and brain-training.
By imagining and ‘trying on’ these Next Level beliefs, we’re literally reprogramming our belief system and priming our minds to accept these new lines as possibilities, and ultimately, as reality.
This is one way of collaborating with the creative power of mind to support us in our quest to Your Creative Dharma.
PART 1
Take a moment to tune into where you feel you are in The Phases of Creative Belief, regarding your Dream Career or creative goal.
You may vary between two or three on a daily or even hourly basis – but see which one you identify with the most strongly or most often.
Now, for all the consecutive phases, write out what you imagine you would be saying or thinking at that stage.
So if you feel you’re current beliefs are at Phase 3, you’d write out new lines for Phases, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
Use the following comments to get you started but customise them to make them more personal to you, include details of your ideal career, business or creative goal.
PHASE 1 : NEW IDEA OR DESIRE
Imagine doing ________ for a living. I would love that.
But could I? Should I? Is it really possible?
PHASE 2 : WHAT IF…?
I wish I could just ________ all day long. I love spending my time doing ________.
I wish I could make money doing it. Is that even possible?
PHASE 3 : I THINK THIS MIGHT WORK
Could I really be a _________ for a living? I’d LOVE that!
PHASE 4 : I BELIEVE THIS WILL WORK
I increasingly believe I can do this.
I can actually imagine my ________ career taking off and reaching rich streams of lovely clients and customers who love and buy my work and become raving fans!
PHASE 5 : I KNOW THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN
I KNOW my _________ career is taking off now. I can feel it.
I just know it will – that it already is in some ways.
I can feel it in my bones.
PHASE 6 : IT’S HAPPENING!
Hallelujah!!! It’s happening!
I can see this now. It IS happening now.
My __________ is taking off in delightful ways and money is flowing in every ______.
I AM doing this!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
PHASE 7 : IT’S DONE
I’ve done it. I did it.
I’ve created my dream creative lifestyle and blasted pass my income goal in my __________ career.
I’ve made it. I’m here. I have arrived.
It’s time for a well-deserved pat-on-the-back.
(Before I wonder what I could create next… what would be even better?!)

HINT : Experiment with the level of detail that works best for you.
If being specific makes your vision clearer and more exciting, explore the full-colour vision with all its glorious details.
But if you feel more relaxed and expansive with more general phrases, those will be more effective for you.
What matters is the feeling behind the words and ideas.
Excitement, optimism and enthusiasm will turbo-charge the power of these phrases.
“Having seen and felt the end,
you have willed the means
to the realization of the end.”

PART 2
Select your new lines for the phase immediately after your current phase.
So again, if you feel you are most often in Phase 3, select the new lines you wrote in the exercise above for Phase 4.
Now choose one of the following to do on a daily basis:
OPTION 1 : OLD SCHOOL
Choose your favourite line or lines and write them out 30 times once a day, ideally in the morning.
OPTION 2 : MIRROR TALK
Choose your favourite line or lines and say them to yourself out loud in front of the mirror every morning and every evening.
Maintain eye contact and smile!
OPTION 3 : MANTRA MAGIC
Choose your favourite line or lines and say them or sing them to yourself, either silently or out loud, as often as you remember during the day.
Use visual prompts to remind you, keep them in places you spend your time or visit often. (Eg the fridge, kettle, car, phone or desk.)
TIP : If you set your mantra to a popular tune, you’ll find it easier to remember and it will often begin playing on loop in your mind like a jingle. Powerful!
OPTION 4 : POST IT
Choose your favourite line or lines and write them on stickie notes and place them on your bathroom mirror or bedside table.
When you see them, touch the note, take a breath and repeat your chosen phrases.

After a while, these new lines will not feel like an imagined Next Phase – you will gradually come to believe that it is your current truth or reality.
At this point, repeat the process with the phrases you wrote for the following stage, updating them with any new enthusiasm, confidence or excitement.
Rinse and repeat until you are celebrating!
CAUTION: There may be a part of your mind – (Inner Critic, Ego, Voice of Doubt etc…) that tells you not to bother doing this exercise. Maybe it seems to simple or trivial to make any real difference.
This is resistance.
We all have those voices to some degree – it’s completely natural and to be expected.
But I invite you to simply try this anyway, just as an experiment.
Then, when you begin to see the evidence of how powerful these simple techniques can be, those doubtful voices will be much less vocal.
NOTE : If you ever feel uncomfortable, doubtful or heavy when you say, sing or read your lines, rephrase them to something that you feel good about.
For example, if you don’t truly believe ‘This IS working!’, you could say the phrase; ‘I like the idea that this is working’, or ‘I like imagining this working now.’
You could also incorporate EFT (tapping on pressure points) to diffuse any doubtful voices that are chiming in.
You can find more details on Tapping and EFT here. (It’s really powerful and so simple to do – and it’s free!)
Bravo!
That’s all for today but that was a really powerful module.
So now all you need to do is begin assimilating this material and practicing your New Lines!
And I’ll be in touch later in the week with more fun and games to help you Get Your Mind On Board with Your Creative Dharma vision.
